Launching Cost Control and Scheduling Enhancements alongside Fixes on Platform

Introducing Enhancements in Cost Control, Scheduling, and Exto Platform

Cost Control:

Business users can easily handle Change Orders based on the module type configuration set up by the admins or PMEs. This setup applies when business users submit change orders for an increase or decrease in the Budget, Estimate, PO, or Contract amount for any scope or schedule change. As an extension to the Record Picker, users can import selective line items in scenarios involving multiple line items. This picker empowers users to easily and efficiently select only the relevant line items they need and minimizes the chances of errors. Exto allows Project executives to select multiple modules for actual data and generates the graph to show the Actual costs from that specific data source for the selected modules. This visualization is useful to monitor the actual cost expenditure compared to the planned or budgeted cost and payment processing. Project executives can create a simple line graph representing the planned cost over time by configuring the Form Designer and modifying it further to suit the business-specific use case. With this visibility, executives can assess risk and make informed decisions to keep the project on track financially.

Scheduling:

One of the significant aspects of Scheduling involves assigning Activity Types. The different activity types in Exto's Schedule enables project teams to classify and categorize various types of tasks. Apart from the WBS activity type, additional activity types in scheduling include Milestone and Resource, that help to create and organize the project schedule. The Milestone Type activity in Exto's Scheduling represents significant point-in-time events indicating the beginning and end of a crucial stage. For working with Resource activity type, Exto's Schedule provides Resource managers with the essentials to: (a) manage resource assignments and (b) perform accurate activity rollup calculations. This ensures resources are appropriately utilized, tasks completed on time, and project goals accomplished.

Platform-related:

This bug fix release focusses on fixing the critical bugs and addressing incorrect behavior in the application, in the process minimizing the risk of creating more bugs.
